Poem: Don’t Quit

Having posted Part 4 of the Law of Attraction Series earlier today Law Of Attraction Part 4: How to Accept The Unexpected, in which I explain how sometimes are dreams arrive only after a period of extreme discomfort, I was sorting through a few final boxes from my mum’s house (she died 3 years ago and we’re still sorting through some boxes… ), and I came across this little poem … It seemed like a message for myself and maybe some of my fellow bloggers – What do you think?

DON’T QUIT

When things go wrong As they sometimes will

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must But don’t you quit…

Life is queer with it’s twists and turns,

as everyone of us sometimes learns.

And many a failure turns about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don’t give up though the ace seems slow….

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out…

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit!

    1. Thanks Ellie – you’re right and it’s funny how those words of inspiration seem to turn up at the perfect moment which was the case when I found this poem yesterday.. xx
