Hi, I’m Wendy
I live and work near Manchester, UK and at aged 56 years I’ve got a few years ‘life’ experience under my belt and over the years have made a few mistakes and learned some lessons the hard way (usually the best way). If you’re looking for ‘Perfect’ then you may have to look elsewhere.. I’m an ‘honest blogger’ so you’ll get the good, the bad and the downright ugly! oops..
I’ve been a Senior Manager in business for over 15 years and if I ‘blow my own trumpet’, I’d say my People and Project Management expertise have enabled me to deliver outstanding business transformation results.
However…. possibly more interesting to most, is that I qualified as a Hypnotherapist in 2001 and also trained with Dr Richard Bandler, co-founder of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) in 2011, to become a Licenced Practitioner of NLP. My fascination with the ‘Power of the mind’ continues and I also practice the principles of the Law of Attraction and have had some brilliant success with this..
You can learn more about my amazing experiences with The Law Of Attraction and the Magic of Vision Boards under the Law Of Attraction tab on the main menu.
I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in March 16, which set me off on a new journey to ‘Reverse Diabetes’ through a series of massive lifestyle change and in particular a ‘healthy eating’ regime, which is going brilliantly so far and has enabled me to lose 2 stone (28lbs) and put my diabetes into remission!!
Healthy lifestyle articles and my journey to reverse diabetes along with the Low Carb recipes I enjoy, can be found under the ‘Health & Fitness’ tab on the main menu.
I continue on my own ‘learning journey’ and hope that sharing some of my own experiences (the good, bad and the ugly) plus providing access to some tools and tips that have helped me over the years, may help inspire others to start travelling some new pathways in the learning journey of life and possibly avoid some of the pitfalls!
Do you know what your ‘limiting beliefs’ are and how they may hold you back in life?….. Check out how to identify these and learn how to change them along with lots more Personal Development tools, tips and inspiration, under the Personal Development tab on the main menu…
I love a bit of glitz and glamour and as a Manchester Lifestyle Blogger, I also aim to share some of my favourite fashion, beauty, home style and DIY experiences (or disasters…) with you too.
All my family fun, frolics, beauty, fashion, travel and day to day experiences, can be found under the various sub menus of the Lifestyle Tab..
You can also check out for some frequently asked question on my ‘About Me’ page for a bit more background about me and my family.
I’ve met some amazing bloggers during my blogging journey over the last year and have been inspired
I’ve just had a slight ‘re-vamp’ of my blog (March 17) so please let me know if you experience any difficulty in accessing pages or posts… Much appreciated! x
Wendy
I immediately resonated with your blog title Wendy. I believe we locate and our located by others who keep their lights bright.
Would you say it’s our age and maturity level that prompts us to share our travels with others?
I know I’m always eager to see the highest and best in people.
Enjoyed reading your About!

Thanks so much – I do think our age and maturity helps us to look at life from a slightly different angle and to understand what’s really important in life – family, friends, knowledge – not ‘things’. I love to support people along their learning journeys and also learning from others myself as I continue to learn my own lessons. I really think we have so much ‘brilliance within’ us that we keep hidden from the world and love the thought that if we each reveal more of our inner brilliance the world would be even brighter.. I’m glad you enjoyed reading my ‘About’ and thanks so much for commenting! x

I couldn’t not comment. I’m of a spiritual rather than religious person. However, along my life path I have read many books, including resonant passages in the bible My most favorite verse is…”Let There Be Light.”

And so am I – spiritual not religious that is… And it’s a spark that ignites the flame from which the phoenix rises!

Hi Wendy, lovely to meet you. Thanks for dropping by my blog, it’s great to meet you. I just read your About page and you’re so right, we learn the greatest lessons from our mistakes. As a 50yo woman and mother of two I’ve made plenty of those. Warmest wishes from down under. xo

Thanks Wendy, I’m glad some sunshine has peeped through … now it’s probably time for you to have a coffee! 🙂

It certainly could be – a quiet cup of coffee on my own (hubbies just gone off to work …) with a little ray of sunshine peeping through and then 2 rays of sunshine (my granddaughters) arriving shortly… I’m guessing it’s evening in Melbourne so have a lovely evening and a great weekend! x

What a lovely way to describe your granddaughters! Enjoy them and your weekend (and yes it’s evening here, just about to start preparing for dinner). xo

Thanks – they really are little rays of sunshine though and I’m really lucky that they live very close by so pop over with their sunny smiles very regularly and for a ‘sleepover’ most weekends. We’re all going off camping together in August too which should be fun! Enjoy a relaxed dinner and thanks so much for following my blog which is very much appreciated! x

Hey Wendy. Nice to meet you. Read your about page and I surely am interested in NLP and hypnotherapy. Wish we did not live so far apart. I would have attended a session with you.

I’m so pleased you’ve got an interest in NLP and hypnotherapy – It’s helped me a lot over the years and has helped me to really help others as well which has been so rewarding! If you get the chance to do any training on the NLP I would absolutely recommend it – I managed to go to a weekend session free as an ‘introduction’ and even that taught me lots.. xx

Thanks for that. I will surely try to find a session nearby.

I know that feeling.. I love the connection with people from all over the world who I would never have met and yet who I am now ‘connected’ to via the internet.. It’s opened up a whole new world and with posts like yours has enabled me to see places that I never would have known about otherwise… Fab! xx

Hey Wendy,
First of all, thank you so much for following House of Rogue on WordPress! I look forward to hearing more from you!
I’m here to let you know that I moved House of Rogue to her ‘official’ website. The WordPress account will soon be deleted, so I sincerely hope you will subscribe to the new website.
Every Monday morning, a new update will magically appear in your inbox. With a weekly motivation, inspiration, updates, and every now and then some pretty cool travel destinations. I hate spam as much as you do, so you’ll only hear from me that one day a week, or when I’ve got something super important to share 🙂
I truly appreciate your interest in House of Rogue so I do hope I’ll hear from you again soon!
With love,
